Direct Thermal printing is an extremely common method of adding variable information such as barcodes, pricing and use by dates to plain and part printed labels. It is very cost effective as there is no requirement for an additional consumable such as a print ribbon or toner cartridge – the label material itself reacts with the heated printhead to give you a blackened (printed) area.
Widely used in box end labelling, or for the variable labelling of consumable items such as sandwich / bakery items, we can offer an FSC certified recycled Direct Thermal paper. It has the same quality of printability as standard materials, which is critical for for barcode readability.
